Job Description:
Full job descriptionData Engineering Consultant, Data Specialist, Data Bricks, Snowflake, Data Analytics, Azure, Fabric, ML, Azure, Mainly Remote
Data Consultant / Data Specialist required to join a fast growing Professional Services business based in the City of London. As this is an external client facing consulting role, you will be expected to be in the office circa 4 days a week and then be prepared to travel to various client sites up and down the UK as the role develops.
We need a decathlete or ’Swiss Army Knife’ of the consulting world. As Data Engineering, AI and Analytics is moving so fast, we need you to be entrepreneurial but also have the ability to improvise around client needs.
Here is the ideal background:
*Extensive Data Engineering experience as a Consultant – ideally the Big 4 or one of the big consulting firms.
*Experience working within or advising Financial Services organisations (banking, insurance, asset management, or capital markets), with an understanding of relevant regulatory requirements including FCA/PRA expectations on Data Engineering and AI.
*Exposure to data platforms, programming languages and AI tools, such as Alteryx, Knime, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica, Claude, Chat GPT, Microsoft Copilot, Python and SQL among others, to deliver practical and impactful analytics assurances and solutions.
*Experience of implementing and refining Data Engineering and AI analytics tools to automate internal audit processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
*Experience of scoping, delivering, and reporting on internal audits, and in presenting conclusions to relevant stakeholders.
*Deep expertise in data governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA DMBOK, DCAM) and AI governance, model risk management, and AI model testing and validation methodologies, including familiarity with emerging regulatory and industry standards (e.g. EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, PRA SS1/23, SR 11-7).
*Experience of building extensive and active networks across geographical regions and client organisations.
This is a great opportunity and salary is dependent upon experience. Apply now for more details…
