Job Description:
Full job descriptionMerchandiser | Sportswear & Streetwear | Manchester City Centre | £
Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: Competitive + benefits
Reporting to: Head of Merchandising
About the Role:
We’re partnering with a rapidly growing sportswear and streetwear brand group to find a talented Merchandiser to join their team, based from their brilliant offices in Manchester city centre.
This is a business with real momentum - a growing portfolio of brands, strong performance, and a trading model built across both wholesale and online D2C. It’s an exciting time to join: the group is scaling fast, and this role comes with genuine freedom and responsibility to shape how merchandising operates as the business grows.
That said, this isn’t a role for someone who wants to coast on brand name alone. We’re looking for someone who’s just as comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting the fundamentals right - solid processes, accurate reporting, disciplined stock management - as they are bringing fresh ideas to the table. The right person will thrive on having ownership, while also recognising that strong foundations are what make that freedom sustainable.
The Role:
As Merchandiser, you’ll manage the trading performance and stock strategy for your category/categories across both wholesale and D2C channels, working closely with the Head of Merchandising, Buying and Sales teams. Key responsibilities will include:
*Owning intake, stock flow and availability across wholesale and online channels, ensuring the fundamentals - accurate plans, clean data, timely reporting - are consistently in place
*Building and maintaining sales, stock and intake plans, adapting for the different rhythms of wholesale and D2C trading
*Analysing weekly and seasonal trade across channels, identifying opportunities and risks and recommending clear action
*Partnering with Buying on range planning and OTB, bringing a channel-balanced view to decision-making
*Managing markdown and promotional planning to protect margin while maximising sell-through
*Working closely with Sales/Wholesale teams to align stock commitments with wholesale order books
*Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep product flowing smoothly end-to-end
About You:
*Proven experience as a Merchandiser, ideally with exposure to both wholesale and D2C/online channels
*Experience within sportswear, streetwear, fashion or a comparable fast-moving category is a strong plus
*Strong analytical skills, with the discipline to get the fundamentals right as well as the initiative to improve them
*Comfortable working autonomously - this role comes with real freedom, and with that, real accountability
*A proactive, hands-on approach, thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
*Confident communicator, able to build relationships across buying, sales and the wider business
*Strong Excel skills
What’s On Offer:
*The opportunity to join a fast-growing, multi-brand group with real momentum behind it
*Genuine freedom and ownership over how you shape your area
*Brilliant offices in Manchester city centre
*The chance to be part of a growing portfolio with strong performance across wholesale and D2C
