We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic engineering team within a modern FMCG manufacturing facility. This role offers the opportunity to manage a maintenance manager, a large engineering team, a controls engineer, and a team leader, focusing on enhancing planned maintenance, production, and all site engineering activities.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Lead and develop a skilled team of engineers, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment.
*Oversee planned preventative maintenance and coordinate engineering projects to improve system reliability and performance.
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning to enhance production processes and reduce downtime.
*Promote and ensure high standards of health and safety across the site.
*Manage and mentor direct reports including a maintenance manager, controls engineer, and team leader, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Supervisor within a manufacturing environment, ideally in FMCG.
*Strong background in Engineering.
*Qualified in an engineering background
*Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large teams and complex engineering projects.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements.
*Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of motivating and leading a team towards achieving operational excellence.
*Must be commutable to Sutton, South London.
