Psychology Teacher (A Level & BTEC)Rotherham | Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are working with a highly regarded Further Education provider in Rotherham to recruit a passionate and engaging Psychology Teacher to deliver both A Level Psychology and BTEC Psychology programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful Social Sciences department, teaching motivated learners and helping them progress to university and careers in Psychology, Mental Health, Criminology, Social Work, Education and related fields.
The RoleYou will deliver high-quality teaching across Level 3 Psychology programmes, supporting students to develop a strong understanding of human behaviour, mental processes and psychological research.
Topics taught include:
*Social Influence
*Memory
*Attachment
*Mental Health and Psychopathology
*Approaches in Psychology
*Biopsychology
*Research Methods and Statistics
*Gender Development
*Schizophrenia
*Aggression
You will also support students in developing their research, analytical and critical thinking skills through practical investigations and applied learning.
About YouThe successful candidate will have:
*A degree in Psychology or a related subject
*A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS or equivalent)
*Experience teaching Psychology at Level 3
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the discipline
*Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Experience teaching both A Level and BTEC Psychology is desirable but not essential.
