A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bolton is looking to recruit a School Catering Assistant to join its friendly kitchen team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in helping provide nutritious meals for children in a busy school environment. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with the preparation of food and ingredients.
*Support the serving of meals during lunchtime.
*Set up and prepare the dining area before service.
*Clear tables and collect used crockery and cutlery.
*Carry out cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining areas.
*Wash kitchen utensils, crockery, and equipment.
*Store deliveries and maintain stock areas safely.
*Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times.
*Assist with special events and functions when required.
About You
*Friendly, reliable, and hard-working.
*Able to work effectively within a busy team environment.
*A positive and flexible attitude.
*Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices is desirable.
*Experience in catering, food service, or a school kitchen is beneficial but not essential.
*Committed to providing a positive dining experience for pupils.
