*Source and procure products that align with business needs and objectives.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and value.
*Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve cost savings for the business.
*Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform purchasing decisions.
*Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing with business goals.
*Review and analyse supplier performance to ensure high standards are met.
*Provide regular reports and updates to key stakeholders on purchasing activities.
Profile
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
*Previous experience in a buying role within the retail industry.
*Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
*Experience dealing with far east suppliers
*Knowledge of market trends and an understanding of retail purchasing strategies.
*Attention to detail and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
*Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
*Proficiency in relevant software and tools for inventory and procurement management.
