We’re supporting a growing, multi-site business that’s looking to appoint a Graduate Finance Assistant to join its friendly and supportive finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to take their first step into finance. You’ll receive full training while gaining exposure across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, cash allocations and month-end processes, giving you a fantastic foundation to build a long-term career in accounting.

The Role
Reporting into the Finance Team Leader, you’ll support the day-to-day running of a busy finance department, learning the fundamentals of transactional finance while building valuable experience across multiple areas of accounting.|
You’ll receive hands-on training from experienced colleagues and gradually take ownership of a variety of finance tasks, developing your knowledge of reconciliations, cash allocation, month-end processes and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities
*Process customer receipts, refunds, remittances and cash allocations accurately
*Assist with customer account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
*Support the investigation of payment discrepancies and account queries
*Help maintain the Accounts Receivable ledger, ensuring customer accounts remain accurate
*Assist with month-end reconciliations and finance reporting
*Support the wider Accounts Payable team during busy periods
*Liaise with internal departments to resolve finance queries
*Maintain accurate financial records across multiple systems
*Assist with general finance administration and ad-hoc projects
*Contribute to process improvements and support the wider finance team where required
In an ideal world, we’re looking for:
*A recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related subject
*Alternatively, someone studying AAT, ACCA or CIMA looking for their first finance opportunity
*Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
*Good Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
*Positive attitude with a genuine desire to build a career in finance
*Strong communication skills and willingness to learn from experienced colleagues
*Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks
*Previous office, administration, retail or customer service experience would be advantageous, but not essential
