Calling all Teaching Assistants
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, caring and passionate Teaching Assistant to support a partner school within the heart of Stafford. You will have the opportunity to work within a friendly, welcoming school supporting a range of classes on a part-time (afternoons) basis. Initially the role is to start on the 21 September until 23 October. Your duties will include; supporting pupils with day-to-day learning, tailoring learning & activities to be taught in a way in which the pupil can access their learning in a way which works for them.
Upon placement you will receive support from all of the staff within the school, particularly the class teacher. As a Teaching Assistant you must have a flexible approach to work as your role will vary day-to-day to accommodate to the needs of the child. You must have a kind, caring and nurturing personality in which you are passionate in supporting a pupil with additional needs. It is vital that at all time you hold a high standard of professional conduct.
The role includes:
Working for a reputable education agency - Academics Ltd.
A positive and ’can-do’ approach to all aspects of school life and education.
To deliver and adapt activities to support children as necessary with day-to-day learning.
The ability to use ’praise culture’ to assist and encourage the pupil.
Commute to a primary school in the centre of Stafford daily, working on a part-time basis.
Working collaboratively with staff and parents is essential.
Flexibility to adapt quickly to new settings on a temporary basis, this is crucial.
We are looking for someone who:
Experience supporting children within a primary school environment.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one).
Provide 2 teaching references.
Available to start ASAP.
Able to commute to the outskirts of Stafford.
Willing and able to work under the guidance of the class teacher.
Fully registered to work with Academics.
Pay £93 - £110 a day, holiday pay is included in the day rate.
