Full job descriptionKeeler Recruitment is supporting a well-established and successful business in the search for an experienced Financial Controller to join the organisation on a 3-month contract. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hands-on leadership role requiring an individual who can quickly integrate into the business, provide stability, and lead the finance function with minimal supervision.
This opportunity would suit a highly capable and commercially minded finance professional who is confident managing day-to-day financial operations while supporting strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, support and oversight.
*Take ownership of the month-end close process and financial reporting.
*Ensure robust financial controls and governance are maintained.
*Oversee management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management.
*Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
*Act as a trusted partner to the CFO and wider leadership team.
*Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiencies where appropriate.
*Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements.
About You:
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
*Proven experience operating at Financial Controller level.
*Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams.
*Hands-on and proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
*Comfortable stepping into a fast-paced environment and making an immediate impact.
*Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail.
*Available to commence the assignment at short notice or immediately.
