This is an excellent opportunity for a Secondary Sensory Teacher to work within a specialist setting supporting pupils with sensory needs across the secondary age range.
Secondary Sensory Teacher - ChiswickAs a Secondary Sensory Teacher in this Chiswick school, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that are accessible to pupils with a range of additional needs. You will work closely with colleagues to adapt learning and ensure pupils can make meaningful progress.
The Secondary Sensory Teacher role in Chiswick includes:*Teaching pupils across KS3 and KS4 within a specialist SEN environment
*Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
*Adapting the curriculum to meet a range of sensory and additional needs
*Working closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff
*Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to individual learning plans
*Creating a structured and engaging classroom environment
*Developing positive relationships with pupils and staff
*Working as part of a dedicated specialist team within the Chiswick school
About the Secondary Sensory TeacherThe school is looking for a Secondary Sensory Teacher who has:
*QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
*Experience teaching within an SEN or specialist setting
*Experience working with pupils with sensory needs is highly desirable
*Knowledge of adapting teaching and learning for pupils with additional needs
*Strong classroom management skills
*A flexible and creative approach to teaching
*A genuine interest in working within specialist education
