Full job descriptionWorking in a collaborative and commercially focused environment, you’ll support the pricing of treaty and facultative reinsurance business across a diverse portfolio, providing insight and analytics that influence underwriting decisions and portfolio strategy.

The Role *Perform pricing analyses for a wide range of reinsurance opportunities across multiple classes and territories.
*Partner closely with underwriting teams to assess new business opportunities and renewal submissions.
*Develop, maintain and enhance reinsurance pricing models and methodologies.
*Analyse portfolio performance, rate adequacy and profitability trends.
*Provide technical expertise and commercial insight to support underwriting decisions.
*Present pricing recommendations and findings to key stakeholders across the business.
*Support wider portfolio optimisation, capital management and strategic initiatives.
*Contribute to pricing research, process improvements and the development of analytical capabilities within the team.
*Mentor and support junior analysts, helping to foster technical development across the function.
About You *Nearly qualified, qualified or qualified-by-experience actuary.
*Previous experience in reinsurance pricing within the London Market, Lloyd’s or wider general insurance sector.
*Strong understanding of treaty and/or facultative reinsurance business.
*Experience working with actuarial modelling techniques and large datasets.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
*Commercially minded with the ability to balance technical analysis with practical underwriting considerations.
*Confident communicator who can build relationships with underwriters, brokers and senior stakeholders.
*Experience with tools such as R, Python, SQL or similar analytical platforms would be advantageous.
