Are you a patient and resilient Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent support to secondary-aged pupils?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND school based in Sale, which has been rated ’Good’ by OFSTED. The school benefits from fantastic facilities and provides a supportive environment designed to meet the individual needs of its pupils.
The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant from October on a long-term basis, supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs including PMLD, Autism, ADHD, SLD and Down’s Syndrome. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to provide individualised support, encourage engagement with learning and help pupils develop their independence.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting needs such as PMLD, Autism, ADHD, SLD and Down’s Syndrome
• Confidence supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
