Are you an experienced Transport or Logistics professional looking for a role where you can genuinely influence operational performance?
We’re looking for an Operations Controller to join a busy Transport & Logistics operation, taking a lead role in daily planning, resource management, driver performance and continuous improvement.

You’ll be at the heart of the operation, working closely with Transport, Distribution, Customer Service and Commercial teams to ensure deliveries run efficiently, customers receive an excellent service and agreed SLAs and KPIs are consistently achieved.

What you’ll be doing:
*Overseeing daily delivery planning and route optimisation across London and the regions.
*Managing capacity and resource planning against customer demand and forecasts.
*Monitoring driver performance, compliance, productivity and OTIF.
*Managing and reporting on key operational KPIs.
*Identifying operational issues and implementing practical solutions.
*Working with Customer Service to resolve issues and improve customer experience.
*Reviewing and improving processes, systems and ways of working.
*Supporting the introduction of new technology and operational projects.
*Managing relationships and performance with third-party providers.
*Providing operational insight and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team.
What we’re looking for:
*You’ll have experience in transport, logistics, FMCG distribution or a similar operational environment, together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ideally, you’ll have experience with:
*Transport planning and optimisation software an advantage.
*Strong IT knowledge with advanced Excel and analytical skills
*Telematics and operational reporting systems.
*Driver compliance and performance management.
*Resource and capacity planning.
*KPI reporting and performance improvement.
*You’ll be organised, commercially aware and data-driven, with the confidence to make decisions, solve problems and work effectively across different teams.
