This Technical Specialist opportunity offers the chance to work with an established financial planning firm that partners with discretionary fund managers, allowing you to focus on what you do best - producing high-quality technical work across a diverse case mix including investments, pensions, trusts, vulnerable clients, and divorce cases.


As a Technical Specialist, you’ll be the knowledge resource for financial planners, with the flexibility to accompany them to client meetings if you wish. This is a role for someone who wants to build a career as a technical specialist, working in a supportive environment where your input is valued and you’re encouraged to contribute ideas on improving processes.


The day-to-day:
• Heavy focus on report writing and research across diverse cases
• Acting as a technical resource for financial planners
• Working with discretionary fund managers (no fund switches or investment management)
• Opportunity to attend client meetings alongside planners
• Contributing to team discussions and process improvements


Technical Specialist Requirements:
• Essential: 5-10 years of financial services industry experience
• Essential: Diploma qualified (Level 4)
• Essential: Comfortable with report-writing focused role excluding investment management work
• Essential: Content to build a long-term career as a technical specialist
