Job Description:
Full job descriptionNXTGEN is recruiting a Temporary Management Accountant to support a growing, multi-entity organisation based in Mid Suffolk.
This assignment will suit an experienced finance professional who can quickly take ownership of month-end reporting across several entities, maintain strong financial controls and work confidently with operational stakeholders. You will join an established finance team during a busy period of growth and change, providing additional capacity while ensuring reporting remains accurate and deadlines are met.
The roleKey responsibilities will include:
*Preparing monthly management accounts across allocated group entities
*Posting journals and managing accruals and prepayments
*Completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
*Supporting revenue calculations, intercompany accounting and fixed assets
*Producing VAT returns, KPI analysis and additional financial reporting
*Investigating variances and resolving outstanding accounting issues
*Liaising with operational teams to understand activity and its financial impact
*Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow analysis
*Assisting with year-end audit preparation and auditor queries
*Identifying opportunities to improve and standardise finance processes
*Providing cover and support across the wider management accounting team
The successful candidateYou will ideally have:
*Previous experience producing monthly management accounts within a multi-entity environment
*AAT Level 4, part-qualified or qualified CIMA/ACCA status, or equivalent experience
*Strong balance sheet reconciliation and month-end reporting experience
*A good understanding of accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions and fixed assets
*Strong analytical and Excel skills
*The ability to work independently and quickly understand existing processes
*A confident, professional approach to working with finance and operational stakeholders
*Immediate or short-notice availability
Experience using Oracle NetSuite or working within an operational, energy, environmental or infrastructure-led business would be advantageous but is not essential.
