Manchester City Centre | Hybrid working | Salary up to £55,000 plus excellent benefits
The highly regarded Wealth Division of a top Private Bank is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to its Manchester city-centre team.
You will join a well-supported team of nine Paraplanners, led by an experienced Paraplanning Manager and spread evenly across three offices. The Manchester team works from a busy, modern, open-plan banking operation in the heart of the city.
Working with Financial Planners, Associates and an in-house tax team, you will help deliver holistic financial planning to high-net-worth clients. The work is technically varied, although pensions form a significant part of the current caseload.
The role
*Undertaking technical research and preparing accurate suitability reports and recommendations across pensions, investments, taxation, protection and estate planning.
*Working collaboratively with Financial Planners to understand client objectives and deliver consistently high-quality outcomes.
*Analysing client information, preparing cashflow forecasts and liaising with providers and internal specialists.
*Supporting a limited number of defined benefit pension transfer reviews.
*Attending selected client meetings alongside Financial Planners and developing trusted client relationships.
*Sharing knowledge, helping to mentor trainees and contributing to best practice.
About you
*Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or Regulated Financial Planning.
*At least 18 months’ experience in a dedicated Paraplanner role.
*Strong suitability report-writing experience and sound knowledge of financial services products and the wider planning sector.
*Broad technical knowledge, including experience of both defined contribution and defined benefit pensions.
*Excellent written communication, accuracy and attention to detail.
*A collaborative, organised and client-focused approach. Experience with FE Analytics, Voyant or Defaqto would be useful but is not essential.
Development and benefits
*The business supports further study towards Certified or Chartered status. You will work with experienced colleagues, access specialist expertise and benefit from a varied caseload.
*Salary up to £55,000, depending on experience.
*Flexible hybrid working. (2 days from home per week after probation)
*Generous pension contribution of up to 15%.
*Private medical cover, including family members living at the same address.
*Life assurance at four times basic salary.
*Group income protection.
*Ongoing qualification and career-development support.
