We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Cook to join a welcoming residential care home in Ewerby, Sleaford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in preparing fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals and wants to see the direct difference their work makes to residents every day.
You’ll be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service for residents, visitors and staff, while ensuring meals are nutritious, varied and prepared to a high standard.

About the Role
As a Care Home Cook, you’ll play an important part in creating a positive dining experience for residents. Food is a big part of daily life in a care setting, and you’ll have the opportunity to make mealtimes something residents genuinely look forward to.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Preparing and serving high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day.
*Following menus while ensuring residents have plenty of choice.
*Catering for individual dietary requirements and preferences.
*Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety.
*Ordering ingredients and ensuring food supplies are maintained.
*Monitoring food costs and working within agreed budgets.
*Working alongside the wider care team to ensure residents’ needs are met.
*Helping to create a welcoming and enjoyable mealtime environment.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about food and understands the importance of providing excellent catering within a care environment.
Ideally, you will have:
*A Level 3 Catering qualification, or be willing to work towards one.
*At least 2 years’ catering experience, ideally within a busy environment.
*Experience preparing meals for a range of dietary requirements.
*A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety.
*Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
*A genuine passion for cooking and providing a high standard of service.
*The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*Ideally, live within approximately 20 minutes of the home.
