Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a varied caseload of childcare and family law matters, including public law and private law proceedings.
*Advise clients on matters relating to child protection, care proceedings, adoption, fostering, special guardianship orders, and child arrangements.
*Prepare legal documents, witness statements, court applications, and pleadings.
*Represent clients at all stages of court proceedings, including Family Court hearings and tribunals where required.
*Provide clear, accurate, and practical legal advice to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
*Work closely with social workers, Children’s Services, Cafcass, barristers, and other professionals involved in children’s cases.
*Conduct legal research and keep up to date with changes in childcare legislation, case law, and government guidance.
*Ensure compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) standards and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
*Undertake advocacy where appropriate.
*Attend meetings, conferences, and case reviews relating to child welfare matters.
*Maintain accurate case records and manage matters efficiently within timescales and budget requirements.
