Reporting into the Finance Director, you’ll have plenty of visibility across the wider business and will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Sales and Customer Service.
We’re looking for someone who can combine strong hands on credit management experience with the ability to lead, develop and motivate a team.

• Taking ownership of the debtor book and overall collections performance
• Driving cash collection and reducing DSO and overdue debt
• Monitoring aged debt and identifying higher risk accounts
• Managing escalated, complex and long outstanding balances
• Assessing customer creditworthiness and reviewing appropriate credit limits
• Negotiating payment arrangements and resolving customer disputes
• Minimising bad debt exposure and escalating potential risks appropriately
• Working closely with Sales and Customer Service to resolve queries and commercial issues
• Ensuring the debtor ledger remains accurate and well controlled
• Producing regular reporting and analysis for the Finance Director and senior management team
• Supporting ongoing improvements to credit processes, controls and reporting
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an established credit professional with previous experience managing a credit control function and leading a team.
You’ll need to be confident taking ownership of a busy debtor book, dealing with complex or challenging accounts and building effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and customers.
Experience within FMCG, food, manufacturing or another high volume environment would be particularly advantageous.
A CICM qualification, or someone currently working towards one, would also be beneficial but is not essential.
You’ll be commercially minded, confident working with data and comfortable identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
What’s on offer
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
Location: Poole
Contract: Permanent, full time
Working pattern: Office based, Monday to Friday
