Full job descriptionWe’re looking for an experienced Hire Controller to join a busy and established plant/tool hire operation in Acton. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous hire desk experience who enjoys a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Role Overview*Manage customer hire enquiries, bookings and off-hires
*Process contracts, orders and hire documentation
*Coordinate equipment deliveries and collections
*Liaise with workshop and transport teams
*Monitor fleet availability and equipment allocation
*Maximise hire opportunities and ancillary sales
*Provide excellent customer service
*Assist customers with loading/unloading equipment when required
Requirements*2+ years’ experience within plant hire, tool hire or equipment rental
*Previous hire desk/hire controller experience
*Syrinx experience highly desirable
*Good knowledge of the hire process, transport and fleet scheduling
*Strong organisation and communication skills
*Full UK Category B manual driving licence essential
*Physically fit and comfortable assisting with loading/unloading
*Polish or Ukrainian language skills advantageous
Salary & Benefits*£46,000+ per year
*Monday-Friday, 6am-5pm
*Minimum 2 Saturdays per month, 6am-1pm
*Established plant/tool hire operation
*Varied, customer-facing role
