Full job descriptionQuantity Surveyor – Bishop Auckland
Spear-Heads are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist subcontractor based in Bishop Auckland for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
Must be able to travel overnight as and when needed
Hybrid, 1 day office, 2 to 3 days onsite and 1 day remote
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare valuations, variations and final accounts
*Manage subcontractor payments, enquiries and orders
*Produce material take-offs from drawings
*Monitor project costs, cash flow and commercial performance
*Prepare financial reports and forecasts
*Work closely with estimating, design, purchasing and contracts teams
*Support cost control and recovery of additional costs
Requirements
*Specialist subcontractor experience essential
*Cladding/building envelope experience preferred
*Strong commercial and negotiation skills
*Confident communicator with a proactive approach
*Able to manage deadlines and multiple contracts
