Full job descriptionTrainee Accounts Assistant / Junior Accounts Assistant (AAT)
Salary: £26,500 to £28,500, depending on experience Study support: Full AAT study package, including course fees, exam costs and paid study leave Location: Welwyn Garden City (office based, free parking) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

What you will be doingWith full training and support, you will get involved across the finance function, including:
*Raising and entering invoices, then entering and filing payment certificates onto the accounts system
*Chasing outstanding debt and liaising with clients and collection agencies
*Running credit checks on new and existing clients
*Gaining exposure to legal collection letters and CCJs as your knowledge grows
*Bank reconciliations for the UK and Ireland (sterling and euros)
*Cashbook and general ledger entries and journals
*Analysing and reconciling company card and fuel card statements
*Banking cheques
*Providing cover for payroll, mileage and expense claims when needed
*General office filing and support across the team
*Other ad hoc duties across the finance function

About you*Keen to build a career in finance, ideally early in your AAT studies or ready to begin
*Genuine attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
*A confident, friendly communicator both on the phone and in writing
*Organised, reliable and comfortable working to deadlines in a busy team
*A real team player who is happy to muck in and get stuck in
*Any accounts experience is a bonus, but attitude matters most
