We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and successful engineering operation based in Burford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer looking for a stable days-based position, with the added benefit of regular overtime opportunities to increase earnings.
The RoleWorking as part of a skilled maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance and safe operation of a range of mechanical equipment and machinery.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
*Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
*Preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
*Working on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, motors and associated mechanical equipment
*Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
*Minimising machinery downtime and maintaining production efficiency
*Working safely and in line with company procedures
*Assisting with installation, modification and improvement of machinery where required
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a time-served Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in an industrial, manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
You should have:
*Recognised mechanical engineering qualifications or apprenticeship
*Strong mechanical maintenance experience
*Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
*Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance
*The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
*A proactive approach to maintenance and reliability
*Good health & safety awareness
