Recycling Officer x2Location: Clacton-on-Sea
Contract: Temporary, Full-Time (6 Months)
Rate: £30.00 per hour PAYE


We are seeking two Recycling Officers to support the delivery of a new recycling collection service across the local area. This is a full-time, site-based role in Clacton-on-Sea, requiring travel throughout the district, so access to a vehicle and a full driving licence are essential.
Key Responsibilities:*Monitor recycling and waste collection compliance.
*Engage with residents and contractors to promote recycling and waste minimisation.
*Conduct audits of communal bin stores and recommend recycling improvements.
*Support the rollout and promotion of food waste collection services.
*Deliver recycling containers and information to households.
*Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email.
*Provide general administrative and operational support.
About You:*Previous experience within waste management, recycling, or environmental services is essential.
*Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
*Experience working with contractors, stakeholders, or the public.
*Ability to manage site visits, inspections, and compliance activities.
*Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
