Job Description:
Full job descriptionWorld Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage is currently looking to recruit an IT Software Asset Manager on an initial 12 month contract.
Key skills and experience required:
*Management of SNOW Software License management tool.
*Software lifecycle management
*End-to-end Software license compliance for software on the estate
Rate: £65 per hour
Location: Stevenage
Hybrid / Remote working: 2 days per week onsite and the rest remote from home
Contract: 37 Hours per week
Overtime: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at ’time and a quarter’
Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)
IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)
IT Software Asset Manager Job Description:
Digital Excellence function providing IT Services to the business.
Responsibilities:
*Responsible for management of end-to-end Software license compliance for software on the estate
*Management of SNOW Software License management tool.
*Knowledge and understanding of Software licensing rules, licensing Implications, software metering and methods to optimize utilization.
*Advise on, design, implement and manage best practices and internal processes of licensing methodology to optimize costs.
*Provide assistance and guidance to the userbase on software license procurement and utilisation
*Software lifecycle management
*Conduct regular and consistent audits across the estate measuring deployment vs entitlement, including the analysis of contractual and financial status, to understand and report on the effective license position.
*Report and verify all software, versions & volumes installed on the estate.
*Maintain the record of Proof of Licenses.
*Maintenance of process and procedural documentation
Skillset/experience required:
SNOW expertise.
