We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager / RMN to take overall responsibility for the leadership, quality and operational management of a specialist service supporting individuals through recovery and rehabilitation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mental health professional who is confident leading a team, managing CQC compliance and driving continuous improvement while maintaining a strong focus on person-centred, recovery-focused care.
The service has an established track record of providing high-quality care and currently holds a Good CQC rating. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining these standards and identifying opportunities for further development.
The RoleAs Registered Manager, you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership, ensuring residents receive safe, personalised and recovery-focused support.
You will be responsible for:
*Leading and managing the staff team to deliver consistently high standards of care.
*Maintaining and developing the service in line with CQC regulations and standards.
*Ensuring the service remains compliant and continues to achieve positive inspection outcomes.
*Overseeing assessments, care planning, risk assessments and rehabilitation programmes.
*Supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs to develop independence and achieve their goals.
*Managing complex cases and ensuring effective risk management processes are in place.
*Providing leadership, supervision, mentoring and support to staff.
*Managing recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance.
*Monitoring KPIs, clinical outcomes, quality standards and service performance.
*Managing resources and budgets effectively.
*Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
*Building strong relationships with residents, families, carers and external professionals.
*Working collaboratively with psychiatrists, occupational therapists, social workers, community mental health teams, Local Authorities and other partner agencies.
*Supporting effective discharge planning, placement reviews and transition into the community.
*Acting as a key point of contact for CQC and other external agencies.
*Promoting reflective practice, clinical governance, audits and continuous improvement.
*Providing clinical advice and guidance to the wider team.
About YouWe are looking for a confident and emotionally intelligent leader who is passionate about adult mental health and rehabilitation.
You will ideally have:
*Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification – essential.
*Significant post-registration experience within adult mental health services.
*Experience working within a rehabilitation, recovery or specialist mental health setting.
*Proven experience in a senior leadership or management position.
*Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, standards and inspection expectations.
*Experience managing teams, including recruitment, supervision, appraisal and performance management.
*Strong understanding of mental health legislation, capacity, safeguarding and risk management.
*Experience overseeing care planning, assessments and complex risk management.
*Experience managing budgets and resources.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*High levels of emotional intelligence and resilience.
*The ability to remain calm and make effective decisions during challenging situations.
*Strong organisational and time-management skills.
*Excellent written and verbal communication.
*Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
*The confidence and ability to lead from the front and drive positive change.
*A commitment to keeping up to date with legislation, regulation and best practice.
*Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required.
A clean UK driving licence would be desirable.
