About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy and successful finance team within a well-established automotive retail business in Cardiff.
This role will have a strong emphasis on the Purchase Ledger function and will suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities*Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
*Matching invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
*Managing supplier queries via telephone and email
*Preparing payment runs in line with business deadlines
*Maintaining accurate supplier account records
*Assisting with month-end processes and ledger reconciliations
*Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting duties
*Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
*Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders


Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
*Experience in accounting or finance roles within a similar environment.
*Strong organisational and time management skills.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*A keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
*A basic understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
