Full job descriptionHays Recruitment are currently recruiting for Contractor Escorts to work at HMP Garth on an ongoing temporary contract.This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a secure environment while supporting the delivery of essential maintenance and construction projects across the prison estate.
The Role
As a Contractor Escort, you will be responsible for escorting contractors and visitors throughout the prison site, ensuring all security procedures are followed at all times.Your duties will include:
*Escorting contractors to and from designated work areas
*Monitoring contractor activities within the establishment
*Maintaining accurate records and movement logs
*Ensuring compliance with prison security procedures
*Reporting any incidents, concerns, or breaches of protocol
*Assisting site management with the coordination of contractor access
*Promoting a safe and secure working environment
What We’re Looking For
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to remain professional in a secure environment
*Good attention to detail
*Reliable and punctual approach to work
*Previous experience in security, facilities, construction, customer service, or a similar role is advantageous but not essential
*Ability to pass prison security vetting
What’s on Offer
*£15.45 per hour
*Ongoing contract with consistent hours
*Monday to Friday working pattern
*Weekly pay through Hays
*Full training provided

Security Clearance
Due to the nature of the role, all successful applicants will be required to undergo prison security clearance and vetting prior to starting work.
