About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Slitter Operator to join a busy manufacturing and print production environment.
The successful candidate will have experience operating industrial slitting machinery, ideally within a digital and/or flexographic print environment. You will be responsible for accurately slitting and finishing printed materials to customer and production specifications, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with good mechanical knowledge, strong attention to detail and experience working with industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities*Operate slitting and finishing machinery safely and efficiently.
*Set up machines to achieve specified widths, lengths and production requirements.
*Monitor production runs and make adjustments where necessary.
*Carry out quality checks before, during and after the slitting process.
*Identify and resolve basic machine and production issues.
*Perform routine cleaning, maintenance and lubrication of machinery.
*Use hand tools and power tools safely during machine setup and maintenance.
*Fabricate or assemble components where required.
*Handle and move rolls and other production materials safely.
*Maintain accurate production and quality standards.
*Keep the production area clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements.
*Work closely with colleagues across the production team to meet deadlines and maintain output.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience operating slitting machinery, preferably within a print or manufacturing environment.
*Experience working with digital print and/or flexographic print would be highly advantageous.
*Good mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot basic machinery issues.
*Experience using hand tools and power tools.
*Good understanding of production and quality control processes.
*Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
*The ability to work safely when handling heavy materials.
*A reliable, practical and hands-on approach to work.
*The ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
*Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or print production environment would be advantageous.
