Shape Financial Futures. Elevate Your Career.
Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking to join a highly respected and ambitious financial planning business where your technical expertise is genuinely valued?
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing Financial Services team in Ascot, supporting experienced Financial Advisers in delivering sophisticated, highly personalised financial planning solutions.
We’re looking for a technically capable, commercially aware and client-focused Paraplanner who takes pride in producing exceptional work, enjoys solving complex financial planning challenges and wants to play a meaningful role in delivering outstanding client outcomes.
If you’re looking for a role where quality matters, professional development is encouraged and your contribution genuinely makes a difference, this could be the opportunity for you.
The Opportunity
As a key member of the Financial Services team, you’ll work closely with Financial Advisers and colleagues to deliver comprehensive technical research, analysis and financial planning support.
You’ll be involved throughout the financial planning process — from gathering and analysing client information, researching solutions and modelling outcomes, through to producing detailed suitability reports and supporting recommendations through to implementation.
You’ll also have the opportunity to liaise directly with clients, support established client relationships and contribute to the development of procedures and reporting processes.
For ambitious professionals, there is genuine scope for career development and progression towards Chartered status.
Hybrid working is available following successful completion of probation.
Your Responsibilities
*Produce high-quality suitability reports and recommendation documentation for Adviser review.
*Gather, analyse and interpret detailed client information to support financial planning recommendations.
*Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection and wider financial planning.
*Undertake cashflow planning and detailed financial analysis.
*Complete CIP, CRP and product research, ensuring recommendations are appropriately researched and evidenced.
*Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of financial products, investments and provider propositions.
*Support Advisers with ongoing client servicing and preparation for client meetings.
*Liaise directly with clients where appropriate to obtain information and support positive client outcomes.
*Liaise with providers, platforms and professional contacts to progress cases and obtain technical information.
*Maintain accurate and comprehensive client records.
*Help develop internal procedures, processes and report templates.
*Manage workloads effectively and consistently meet key deadlines.
*Provide high-quality technical information and analysis throughout the financial planning journey.
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with experienced Paraplanners who possess:
*CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent Paraplanning qualification.
*Proven experience within an IFA, Financial Planning or Wealth Management environment.
*Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and wider financial planning.
*Experience with cashflow planning and financial analysis.
*Excellent research, report-writing and analytical skills.
*Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach.
*Excellent communication skills and confidence working with Advisers, colleagues, clients and professional contacts.
*A proactive approach and genuine desire to continue developing professionally.
*Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Particularly Advantageous
Experience or knowledge of:
*Pension switching.
*Estate and inheritance planning.
*Investment planning.
*Portfolio management.
*Chartered Financial Planning and/or progression towards Chartered status.
*PFS Power.
Experience with systems and platforms such as Assureweb, Exweb, Underwriteme, Intelligent Office, Transact, Quilter, Abrdn, Prudential, LV=, Aviva, FE Analytics and Defaqto would also be advantageous.
However, the right attitude, technical capability and ambition to develop are more important than ticking every box.
What’s On Offer
*£50,000 per annum salary.
*Annual salary review.
*Hybrid working following successful completion of probation.
*25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays.
*Buy & Sell Holiday Scheme.
*Life Assurance – 4x basic salary.
*Income Protection – up to 75% of annual salary.
*Critical Illness Cover – 1x annual salary.
*Private Medical Insurance via salary sacrifice.
*Auto-enrolment or salary sacrifice pension schemes.
*Employee Assistance Programme supporting physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
*Genuine professional development and career progression opportunities.
*Collaborative, professional and supportive working environment.
Why Apply?
This is far more than another Paraplanning role.
It’s an opportunity to become a key part of an established Financial Services team, working alongside experienced Advisers and playing a genuine role in shaping the quality of financial planning delivered to clients.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise across a broad range of financial planning disciplines, whilst working in an environment that values professionalism, collaboration, technical excellence and exceptional client service.
For a Paraplanner who is ambitious about their career — particularly someone looking to progress towards Chartered status — this is an exciting opportunity to take the next step.
