Location: Reading – 3 days per week
Salary: Competitive Day Rate | Inside IR35
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Category Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Develop and implement Category Strategies for assigned sub-group of categories, balancing short and long-term objectives to meet business strategy.
*Support and execute stakeholder management.
*Delivering benefits through category management interventions within a complex project / programme delivery environment.
*Adopt a polite yet tenacious attitude to achieve goals and move projects towards completion.
Skills and Qualifications:
*5 years’+ category management experience.
*Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
*Supplier relationship management skills and experience.
*Running procurements, end to end.
*SC clearance.
*Sole UK national.
*Ability to Support existing Category Manager.
*Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
*Strategic.
*High attention to detail.
*Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels and strong communication skills.
*Able to support putting together packs/materials for supplier reviews.
*Proficient MS Office 365.
Desirable:
*Public procurement background.
*Defence experience is highly desirable.
*Some contract management involvement, good to have.
*Jaggaer would be beneficial.
*CIPS & MCIPS.
