Do you have a passion for great food and excellent customer service?
Our client is looking for a Relief Cook to provide flexible support across their Independent Living Villages, stepping in whenever their catering teams need an extra pair of hands. You’ll help deliver a high-quality, cost-effective catering service by preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining excellent standards and creating positive dining experiences for the customers who call their villages home.
What you’ll do:
*Prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals to a high standard.
*Support the smooth running of our kitchens, restaurants and bistros.
*Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards.
*Monitor stock levels and help minimise waste to deliver a cost-effective service.
*Work closely with colleagues to provide a welcoming dining experience for customers.
*Provide flexible cover across our Independent Living Villages as and when required.
*Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen in the absence of the Catering Team Leader.
*Guide and support Catering Assistants in delivering a high-quality service.
Who you are:
*You hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification or above (or are willing to refresh your training where required).
*You have demonstrable experience in a similar catering role.
*You’re passionate about preparing great food and delivering excellent customer service.
*You have experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
*You understand food hygiene, health and safety requirements, including allergen management and special dietary needs.
*You’re organised, adaptable and able to work well under pressure.
*You communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team.
*You’re flexible and happy to work across different locations to support our services when needed.
*You hold a valid UK Driving license to travel between sites.
