A specialist engineering consultancy is looking for an Instrumentation & Monitoring Technician to join their team in Oxford.
This is a hands-on opportunity suited to Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering graduates looking to build a career in ground and structural engineering.
The RoleYou will work on a range of construction and infrastructure projects, installing and monitoring specialist instrumentation used to assess the performance and behaviour of foundations and structures.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Installing fibre-optic sensors and monitoring equipment
*Carrying out site-based inspections, measurements and data collection
*Monitoring strain, movement, temperature and structural behaviour
*Processing and interpreting monitoring data
*Supporting engineers with technical assessments and reporting
*Working closely with site teams, contractors and engineers
*Travelling to project sites across the UK
*Maintaining high standards of health and safety
About You*Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject
*Graduate or up to 2 years’ relevant experience
*Interested in practical, site-based engineering
*Comfortable working outdoors and travelling to project sites
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Full UK driving licence desirable
