Job Description:
Full job descriptionAre you a qualified accountant looking for a role where you can get involved in more than just producing the numbers?
This could be a great opportunity to join a large, growing international business based in Wrexham, where you will gain exposure across a complex finance function, multiple entities and a business with significant ongoing investment and growth.
The business has a strong market position, and a healthy EBITDA. The finance team is well established, with multiple people across Financial and Management Accounting.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Financial Controller, you will be part of the Financial Accounting function and play an important role in supporting the UK business across its multiple entities.
This is a genuinely hands-on Senior Technical Accountant role, with plenty of opportunity to get involved in projects and improve processes rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting the monthly financial close across multiple entities
*Preparation and review of financial information and balance sheet reconciliations
*Statutory and financial accounting
*Supporting year-end and audit processes
*Working across multiple UK entities
*Supporting the wider finance team with technical accounting matters
*Identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls
*Getting involved in finance projects and business improvement initiatives
*Working with colleagues across the wider international group
What We’re Looking ForWe are ideally looking for a fully qualified ACA or ACCA accountant, although applications from strong part-qualified accountants will also be considered.
You will ideally have:
*ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent
*Experience gained within a complex or multi-entity environment
*Strong financial accounting experience
*Good understanding of month-end and year-end processes
*Excellent attention to detail
*A hands-on, practical approach
*The confidence to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
*A willingness to get involved and take ownership
Most importantly, you will be someone who wants to learn, develop and get involved.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This isn’t necessarily the role for someone looking for a quiet nine-to-five position.
If you are a qualified accountant who thrives on change, pace and variety, there is a huge amount of opportunity here.
The business has a constant pipeline of projects and initiatives, giving you the chance to gain exposure to areas of finance that you may not encounter in a more traditional Financial Accountant position.
For the right person, this could be an excellent opportunity to spend the next 2–3 years building significant experience, broadening your skill set and developing your career within a substantial international business.
What’s on Offer?*Salary dependent on experience, with qualified candidates potentially earning from £55,000 to £75,000
*New bonus scheme being introduced
*Subsidised on-site canteen
*Free EV charging points
*Excellent exposure within a large international group
*Opportunity to work across multiple entities
*Significant scope for involvement in projects and process improvements
*Strong career development potential
Please note this is a fully site-based position in Wrexham.
If you are a qualified accountant who wants a role where you can roll your sleeves up, get involved and build a wealth of experience, we’d be interested in hearing from you.
