Commercial Manager - Private Patient Services

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Commercial Manager to lead the growth and development of a successful Private Patient Services function within a leading healthcare environment.
This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for driving income growth, identifying new business opportunities, strengthening market position, and enhancing the overall patient experience. You will work closely with senior leaders, consultants, clinical teams and external stakeholders to maximise the commercial potential of specialist healthcare services.
The RoleReporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the commercial strategy for Private Patient Services, developing and delivering plans that support sustainable growth and long-term success.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Developing and implementing a comprehensive commercial growth strategy.
*Identifying opportunities to increase private patient activity, including self-pay, insured and international patients.
*Building strong relationships with consultants, referrers, insurers and commercial partners.
*Leading business development initiatives to generate new revenue streams and referral pathways.
*Producing business cases and growth plans to support service expansion.
*Working closely with operational and clinical teams to maximise capacity and service utilisation.
*Reviewing pricing structures, commercial offerings and financial performance to ensure competitiveness within the market.
*Monitoring performance against revenue targets and providing regular reporting to senior stakeholders.
*Leading marketing and promotional initiatives to increase awareness of specialist healthcare services.
*Driving service improvements that enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.
*Ensuring all activity operates within relevant governance, regulatory and compliance frameworks.
About YouWe are looking for a commercially minded professional with a proven track record of driving business growth within healthcare or a similarly complex service environment.
You will ideally have:
*Experience in a Commercial Manager, Business Development Manager, Service Development Manager or similar role.
*Strong commercial acumen with responsibility for revenue growth and performance management.
*Experience developing strategic business plans and delivering growth initiatives.
*Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
*Experience presenting commercial insights and recommendations to senior leadership teams.
*Strong financial awareness, including forecasting, budgeting and business case development.
*Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
*The ability to identify opportunities, solve problems and deliver measurable results.
*Experience working within healthcare, NHS, private healthcare, medical devices or professional services would be advantageous.
