Hays Education are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded school in the Wigan area to recruit a reliable and proactive Site Supervisor to start immediately on a temporary basis through to the end of the academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented school environment.
This would suit someone in the local Wigan area at the role is on a split shift basis working mornings and afternoons


Your new role
As Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the school premises. Duties will include:
*Opening and locking up the school site daily
*Carrying out routine maintenance and basic repairs
*Ensuring the premises are clean, safe, and compliant with health & safety standards
*Monitoring and maintaining security across the site
*Managing contractors and overseeing site access where required.
*Supporting with minor grounds maintenance and general upkeep
*Responding promptly to any on-site issues or emergencies


What you’ll need to succeed
*Previous experience in a site supervisor, caretaker, or facilities role (ideally within a school setting)
*A good understanding of health & safety procedures
*Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
*A hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
