Temporary Assignment
Are you an experienced Multi Trade Operative looking for your next opportunity? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading student accommodation provider for a skilled Multi Trade Operative to support the maintenance and upkeep of student residential properties across London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy facilities team, carrying out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks within occupied student accommodation buildings.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance across student accommodation properties.
*Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works.
*Diagnose and rectify building defects and maintenance issues.
*Complete electrical and general multi-trade maintenance tasks.
*Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety legislation.
*Conduct dynamic risk assessments before undertaking work.
*Maintain accurate records through digital job management systems.
*Identify and report additional maintenance requirements.
*Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service at all times.
*Ensure properties remain safe, secure, warm and fully operational for residents.
Skills & Experience Required
*Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative, Maintenance Operative, Facilities Technician or similar.
*Practical experience within construction, maintenance or facilities management environments.
*NVQ Level 2 in Electrical or Plumbing.
*Additional trade qualifications (plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, etc.) would be advantageous.
*Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work.
*Competent in the safe use of tools and equipment.
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
*Excellent communication skills.
