Role overview
Location: Milton Keynes Home 1 (MK1 post code) Home 2 (MK44 post code) - Succesful candidates will only work at one site.
Contract: Temporary to permanent
Salary: £14.50 PH Waking Nights are £14.50
Rota: MK1 - Day shifts: 1 on 2 off. 0800-2030, Waking Nights and are 3 on 3 off
MK44 - 2 week rolling. Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. Week 3 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 0800-2030
Essentials: Willing to give personal care (training provided if required) + Ideally be a car driver
As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care. Your responsibilities will include:
*Leadership: Provide strong leadership to a team of support staff, guiding and motivating them to deliver the highest standard of care.
*Care Planning: Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each child, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
*Supervision: Conduct regular supervision sessions with team members, offering guidance, feedback, and support to help them excel in their roles.
*Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children within the home, monitoring and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
*Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and best interests of the children, ensuring they have a voice in decisions that affect their lives.
*Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team leaders and staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive work environment.
*Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of the children’s progress, behaviour, and any incidents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
*Training and Development: Identify training needs for team members and support their professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
*Previous experience working with children within a residential setting.
*NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Commitment to our mission of improving the lives of children.
