Full job descriptionHousing First WorkerWe are looking for a compassionate and motivated Housing First Worker to join our team in Brighton.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to people who may have experienced homelessness, multiple disadvantages or difficulties engaging with traditional support services.
Using the Housing First approach, you will help clients access and maintain their own independent tenancies while providing flexible, intensive and personalised support. The focus is on helping individuals build stability, develop independence and work towards their own goals and aspirations.
The RoleAs a Housing First Worker in Brighton, you will:
*Work Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, providing person-centred support to clients in their own homes and within the community.
*Manage a small caseload, taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of high-quality support.
*Provide ongoing and intensive support to help clients establish and settle into their homes.
*Work with clients to develop personalised goals, supporting them to maintain their tenancy, increase their independence and rebuild their lives.
*Take a flexible and creative approach to overcoming barriers and responding to each client’s individual circumstances.
*Develop and maintain effective relationships with local services, partner organisations and other professionals to ensure clients can access the support they need throughout their recovery.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues and external partner agencies.
*The ability to work independently and confidently as a lone worker while following appropriate safeguarding, risk management and health and safety procedures.
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage your own caseload.
*A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach to supporting clients.
*The ability to adapt your support to meet individual needs, circumstances, goals and aspirations.
*A genuine commitment to empowering people and helping them achieve greater stability and independence.
