Join our team at a vibrant educational setting as a Caretaker. This role is based in EN1, London, and offers the chance to contribute significantly to the daily operations and maintenance of the facilities at Russet House School.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of the school premises to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both students and staff.
*Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks including minor repairs, plumbing, and carpentry.
*Ensure that heating, lighting, and alarm systems are functioning properly.
*Manage the cleaning team to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the school.
*Set up facilities for assemblies, events, and meetings.
*Monitor the security of the premises, including opening and closing the building and managing access for visitors.
*Liaise with external contractors for major repair works and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities management role.
*Good knowledge of building maintenance, basic repair skills, and health and safety regulations.
*Strong organizational and time management skills.
*Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
*A proactive approach and the ability to anticipate and address issues before they escalate.
