A UK charity is seeking an experienced Finance Improvement Manager to lead a programme of process improvement across the finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a Head of Finance-level candidate who enjoys improving the way finance operates, strengthening controls and embedding more efficient and effective processes.

Working closely with senior Finance stakeholders and the wider organisation, you will review existing processes, identify areas for improvement and lead practical change across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
*Lead a programme of finance process improvement and transformation across the organisation
*Review existing finance processes, identifying inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for improvement
*Redesign and implement improved processes, controls and ways of working
*Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of month-end, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls
*Drive standardisation and consistency across finance processes
*Review and strengthen financial controls, governance and documentation
*Work closely with Finance leadership and wider business stakeholders to deliver sustainable improvements
*Lead process reviews, workshops and improvement initiatives across the finance function
*Develop clear process documentation, guidance and operating procedures
*Support finance teams through change, ensuring new processes are embedded effectively
*Identify opportunities to improve the quality, timeliness and accessibility of financial information
*Monitor the impact of improvements and ensure benefits are sustained
About You
*Senior Finance professional with experience operating at Head of Finance / Senior Finance Manager level
*Proven track record of improving and transforming finance processes
*Strong understanding of core finance operations, including month-end, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls and governance
*Experienced in leading change and influencing stakeholders across an organisation
*Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with the ability to identify practical improvements
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*Comfortable challenging existing processes and driving change in a collaborative way
*Experience working within the charity / not-for-profit sector
