Full job descriptionAn independent, whole of market financial planning firm in St Helens is growing from 18 people to around 30 and needs a New Business IFA Administrator who wants a technical desk and a proven route into paraplanning. Every case from adviser recommendation to the plan going live is yours to run.
About the firm:
An independently owned firm advising whole of market, not a network practice or part of a consolidator, covering pensions, investments, inheritance tax, mortgages and protection across the North West. It has grown to a team of 18 almost entirely on client referral, having never advertised for a client. Administration sits alongside paraplanning and advice in a proper support function, so the work is technical rather than clerical. One current adviser joined as an administrator and walked the whole path into advice, qualifications funded throughout.
The job:
The New Business IFA Administrator runs the pipeline from the adviser’s recommendation through to the money being invested, and the advisers rely on you to know where every case sits and why. This is a busy, hands-on IFA administration job with real ownership rather than a queue of tasks.
*Owning a live pipeline of new business cases, submission to completion
*Chasing providers and platforms, escalating stalled cases
*Submitting applications across pensions, investments, ISAs, bonds and protection
*Processing pension and investment transfers, Origo and manual
*Producing illustrations, quotations and comparisons for the advisers
What you’ll need:
*Financial services experience, ideally financial planning or IFA administration
*Ownership of a new business pipeline, or comparable case tracking
*Organisation and the judgement to prioritise competing cases
*A proactive approach to chasing and unblocking work
*Accuracy under a full workload
*Interest in CII study, whether started or not
Intelligent Office and wrap platform experience are a bonus, not a requirement.
The package:
*Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience
*5% employer pension through salary sacrifice
*26 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 30 with service, plus your birthday off
*Profit-share bonus of 5% of salary
