*Permanent position
*Location: Harwich, Essex (CO12)
*Rate Guide: £16.00-£19.00 per hour (DOE)
*Overtime: paid at time and one-third, good hours available
*Monday to Friday, 0715 to 1600 hours - 40 hours per week
*Core requirement: MIG & TIG Welding + Fabrication
*Any structural steel experience beneficial
Join a busy, local, established engineering workshop producing high-quality fabricated steelwork and welded assemblies. You’ll be working on a range of fabrication jobs, from prep through to final finish, following engineering drawings and specs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform TIG and MIG welding to manufacture components.
*Fabrication from drawings (cut, prep, tack, weld, dress/finish)
*Work from detailed engineering drawings to meet project specifications.
*Ensure high-quality workmanship in the fabrication of sheet metal components.
*Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards in the workplace.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
*Extensive hands-on experience in MIG and TIG welding.
*Proven expertise in sheet metal fabrication.
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
*Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
*Awareness of health and safety regulations.
*Any welding certifications (coding) would be an advantage but not essential.
