Full job descriptionOur client, a very reputable firm are looking to appoint a Legal Assistant/Paralegal for their Conveyancing Department based in Retford. You will be tasked with acting as an assistant and primary support to our client in managing and progressing a caseload within the firm, dealing with all matters of Conveyancing.
To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:
*Experience of working within the Legal Sector
*Experience of working as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal
*Proven conveyancing experience
*Knowledge of MS Office & Case Management Systems
*Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal
*Strong organisational skills
*High attention to detail
Within this position, you’ll also be:
*Undertaking full file creation, organising & tracking property transaction files
*Preparing legal documents, forms and correspondence for review
*Answering incoming calls, emails & post queries
*Liaising with clients, estate agents & third-party solicitors
*Undertaking basic legal or property research
*Organising of case material
*Preparing financial documents
*Analysing client ledgers under supervision
*Providing administrative support to fee earners & solicitors
*Opening & closing of files
*Updating case management systems with accurate & detailed information
*Carrying out ad hoc duties as required
Salary & Working Hours
Salary is £24,000 - £27,000 per annum, dependant on experience
Working Hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm with 1 hours’ lunch
