A well-established North West construction and demolition contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a major demolition and remediation project in Blackpool. The project involves the demolition of existing hospital buildings alongside associated concrete repair and structural remediation works. This is a long-term freelance opportunity running through to Christmas with the potential for further work thereafter.
Your New RoleYou will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of demolition and concrete repair works on a live site, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Key duties will include:
*Managing subcontractors and site operatives
*Coordinating demolition and structural repair activities
*Maintaining health and safety standards across site
*Conducting inductions, toolbox talks and site briefings
*Monitoring programme progress and reporting to senior management
*Managing site documentation and compliance records
*Liaising with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
What You’ll Need to Succeed
*Previous experience managing demolition projects
*SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
*Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation
*Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Ability to start immediately
