Kitchen Assistant Required - School Catering Environment
We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join a busy school catering team in Romsey.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for consistent daytime hours, a positive working environment, and a long-term temporary assignment that could last for a full academic term or longer.
Key Responsibilities
*Assisting with the preparation of food and ingredients
*Supporting the chef and wider catering team with daily kitchen duties
*Serving food to students and staff during service periods
*Operating tills when required
*Manning food service counters
*Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
*Following food safety and health & safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
*Previous kitchen, catering, hospitality or food service experience is desirable
*A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team
*Good communication and customer service skills
*Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one) is essential
