Job Description:
Full job descriptionSenior Payroll Administrator - Launceston – £15 – £20 per hour – Part time (2 days per week) – Temporary
Payroll professionals are often the unsung heroes of the finance department. When payroll runs smoothly, nobody notices. When it doesn’t, everybody notices.
I’m pleased to be working with a well-established Cornwall based organisation to recruit a Senior Payroll Administrator on a part time temporary basis. The assignment is expected to run for an initial period of two to three months, with the potential to continue beyond this depending on business needs. There is flexibility around which two days per week are worked, making this a genuinely attractive proposition for the right candidate.
Working as part of a friendly and supportive finance team, you’ll take responsibility for the delivery of the organisation’s payroll function, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time whilst maintaining excellent levels of compliance and service. Responsibilities will include:
- Processing monthly payroll for approximately 250 employees, ensuring accurate processing of starters, leavers and all payroll amendments.
- Maintaining employee records and payroll data, processing statutory payments and deductions and ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Supporting pension administration and associated payroll processes, alongside payroll reporting and reconciliation activities.
- Liaising with employees and managers to resolve payroll queries promptly and professionally.
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency where appropriate.
We’re looking for an experienced payroll professional with solid end to end payroll experience who is comfortable managing the full payroll process with minimal supervision. You’ll have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently from day one. Experience with payroll software and strong Excel skills would be a distinct advantage.
This is an urgent requirement and our client is keen to appoint without delay. If you’re an experienced payroll professional looking for a flexible part time temporary assignment with a well-established Cornwall employer, I’d encourage you to get in touch.
This vacancy is being managed by Dan Saunders and the reference is DS11233.
For more information, please click apply and I will be in contact.
This role may also be of interest to those with experience or job titles including: Senior Payroll Administrator, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Manager, Payroll Officer, Payroll Specialist, Payroll Coordinator, Payroll Supervisor, HR and Payroll Administrator or Payroll Consultant seeking a flexible part time temporary assignment in Cornwall.
