Full job descriptionRecruit4staff are representing a well-established precision engineering business in their search for a CNC Machinist to work in Wigan.
Job Role:
Programming, setting and operating CNC Milling centres to manufacture bespoke, low-volume components. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and 3D CAD files to determine optimal manufacturing techniques. Using offline CAD-CAM software to create tool paths and machining instructions. Running CNC Millers with Hurco controls to achieve maximum efficiency in batch production.
Job Details:
*Pay: £18 per hr - £19.50 per hr
*Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am – 3pm
*Duration: Permanent
*Overtime Rules: Plenty of overtime available, paid at x1.5
*Benefits: Onsite parking, clean working environment, modern CNC machinery
Essential Skills & Experience:
*Programming and operating milling machines with Hurco controls
*Previous experience of machining first off samples
*Offline programming experience
Desired Skills & Experience:
*Experience working for a low volume batch manufacturer or precision engineer
*Experience working with exotic materials
*Hurco controls
*Heidenhain Controls
Essential Qualifications:
*Engineering City and Guilds or ONC qualifications
