Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will become an integral part of a busy finance team, supporting the production of accurate financial information across multiple business entities.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts to trial balance stage
*Post and reconcile journals
*Accruals and prepayments
*Complete monthly bank reconciliations
*Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
*Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation journals
*Support cashflow monitoring and reporting activities
*Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
*Ensure purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions are accurately reflected within the accounts
*Assist in maintaining robust financial controls and procedures
*Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and wider finance team
Candidate Requirements
*Strong understanding of month-end processes
*Ability to work confidently to trial balance stage
*Good Excel skills and experience using accounting software
*Organised and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
*Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
*Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
