An established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their Glasgow team. This is a varied role covering the delivery of geotechnical projects across Scotland, with the opportunity to take responsibility for technical delivery, client liaison and project management.
The role will involve:
*Managing and delivering geotechnical investigations and assessments from planning through to completion.
*Producing and reviewing geotechnical interpretative and factual reports.
*Geotechnical analysis and design, including foundations, retaining structures, slopes and earthworks.
*Reviewing ground investigation data and developing ground models.
*Supporting and managing site investigations and working closely with contractors.
*Providing technical input into larger multidisciplinary projects.
*Liaising with clients, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
*Mentoring junior and graduate engineers and providing technical guidance.
*Contributing to fee proposals, tenders and project management.
The ideal candidate will have:
*A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
*Strong previous experience working within a geotechnical consultancy.
*Experience in geotechnical design and interpretation of ground investigation data.
*Good technical report writing skills.
*Experience managing projects and liaising directly with clients.
*Chartered status or working towards Chartership would be advantageous.
*Full UK driving licence.
